Artist Profile & Image Library - Mirella Bitetti

Mirella Bitetti was Born in 1963 in Ginosa.

As a child Mirella found a passion and excitement in art. It was something that she enjoyed both to view and to participate in and she was forever sketching her friends and family, although she never at the time had any serious ambition to become a professional artist and her drawing and painting was seen more as a hobby.

Through time and circumstance Mirella began to see that a career in art was something attainable and she enrolled herself in a mature student class studying the human form at her local art college.

It was here that she was to find her own distinct style and minimalist 3 colour palette which instantly gained an impression on students and tutors alike.

She exhibited at the colleges end of term show and was immediately commissioned to do a number of paintings for a gallery in Bari. Other commissions followed and Mirella was well on her way to becoming a full time professional artist. Her work has been described as seductive, psychological and timeless, with the black representing endless thoughts, the red, passion and the white, the light that breathes life into all subjects.

Mirella has representation with a number of high profile Italian galleries and has shown at most European art fairs over the last decade.
