Ink and coloured pencil on cartridge - 2018-19

(British Museum, Bath, Kent)

‘I drew this from observation in Kent, Bath, the British Museum and Venice. It started with a horse and two men (one head and a striding torso) from the Elgin Marbles at the British Museum. The vases, fish and lobster were in the Holbourne Museum, and the organic pattern on Georgian wallpaper, both in Bath; the Green Man was a waterspout along with foliage in a garden near Biddenden; and the striped pole, gondola parts and moon were drawn in Venice.’
